What resolution should I export the PNG at?

SVG is resolution-independent, so you can export at any size without quality loss. For web use, 1× and 2× (retina) are common. For print, export at 300 DPI equivalent, which is typically 2480 pixels wide for A4.

Does the PNG output preserve SVG transparency?

Yes. PNG supports full alpha-channel transparency. Any transparent areas in the SVG will be transparent in the exported PNG.

Are gradients and filters preserved when converting SVG to PNG?

Yes. The SVG is rendered by the browser engine before rasterizing, so gradients, filters, masks, and all visual effects are fully baked into the PNG output.
